The burning of incense in Japan began during the 6th century with the introduction of Buddhism. Since then, incense has been used in ceremony, meditative practice and to purify a space. These handmade Japanese incense sticks are made of 100% pure Sandalwood and emit a sophisticated, sweet and woody scent when burned. Each stick is handmade with 100% natural ingredients, without any synthetic fragrances.  The Paulownia wood box contains 20 sticks.
