Chawan 03

Produced in the Czech Republic by ceramic artist Vaclav Dusek. This chawan is hand built using a slab-forming technique called tezukune, then fired in a wooden kiln. The process creates a gentle rounded form — each piece unique in shape and glaze. Dusek is a passionate tea enthusiast so form, beauty, and function are personal considerations as he creates his tea ware. His chawans are his specialty. We primarily use this vessel for matcha preparation.
