Kyusu Tall Ceramic Teapot

Handcrafted in Japan, this kyusu teapot is crafted from local clay and produced in the Tokonome region. The red clay is uniquely durable, porous, and retains heat exceptionally well. The thick rim of the lid prevents heat from transferring to the thumb that hold the rim. Designed by Masanori Oji who created this kyusu to maximize flavor and brew delicious tea, while creating a functional yet beautiful work of art. An elegant, minimal design with built in strainer and matte black glaze.
