Between the sea and a sacred mountain lies the village of Laoshan. Here a single family produces our Laoshan Classic Green tea. The tea is grown under cover in winter until there is no threat of frost. The coverings are then removed and the plants grow in full sun until the young tender leaves are plucked in early April. Laoshan Classic is made from tippy spring leaves that are tightly rolled, but not compressed. When brewed, it has a rich mouthfeel with notes of buttered pea shoot, roasted almond, and toasted grain. A satisfying green tea that will enliven you first thing in the morning.
