Tea production in the Kagoshima Prefecture is relatively new, but the warmer climate on the south side make this region ideal for growing tea. Tea from this area has more catechins because of the abundant sunlight. Our Matcha Powder is a blend of two varietals, which produces a very specific balance of sweetness, astringency, and richness making it perfect for matcha lattes. It is a vibrant and energizing organic culinary grade matcha that can be used for lattes, smoothies, and baking.
