Chashaku is the traditional utensil used to scoop and measure matcha. This beautiful piece is crafted from Japanese henon bamboo that had its color stripped through a traditional centuries-old technique in which the bamboo is boiled to remove all oil in the plant, then dried and aged for 2-3 years. During this time the green color fades into white.Hand wash your Chashaku with water only and dry immediately after rinsing to avoid cracking of the wood.
