Lately we've been craving an afternoon energy boost to beat the heat. Matcha over ice has been the answer. While high quality matcha is an experience we generally choose to enjoy on its own, it's also a delight with milk. Below is a recipe you can adapt to your preference. We suggest using our highest grade Stone-Milled Matcha if preparing without milk.

Sift 3g (1 T) matcha into your matcha bowl.

Pour 2oz filtered water (180F) into bowl. Whisk vigorously in a W pattern.

After 15-20 seconds of whisking, a foam should appear. Raise your whisk to the surface and gently whisk away any large or uneven bubbles until the surface is uniform (tight small bubbles).

Prepare a 10oz cup of ice.

Pour whisked matcha over the ice.

Stir and enjoy.

If you'd like to enjoy with milk, simply add 4oz of milk to your cup of ice and stir to incorporate.
