Sichuan Province, China
flavor notes - dewy, floral, roasted chestnut
Tea connoisseurs of antiquity composed numerous poems to describe the quality of this rarified tea. Because of its distinction and limited production, it was mostly consumed by royalty, though luckily today it can be more widely enjoyed. Leaves are picked entirely by hand then shaped and expertly dried, with an aroma reminiscent of roasted chestnuts and wildflowers. It possesses the classic characteristics of teas from the region – persistent aroma, rich mouthfeel without bitterness, and a slow infusion. 18-20 servings per 2oz package.
